I read an article about this a year or two ago....I can't recall where it was (might have been an
ABA magazine or something).
The National Conference of Bar Examiners have a chart that tell you what states allow this (Page 10 of the Comprehensive Guide to Bar Admission at
www.ncbex.org ).
I also found a blog that looks to have some info (mostly on California, but some references to some of the other states that allow it (
