Re: Tutor Recommendations for First-time CA Bar Taker?

Quote:
Though I myself am a tutor, I would say that if I was in the SF area and had the funds (and was a bar examinee) I would take Jeff Adachi. Bar Breakers is great, I dare say the best CA essay books out there, so I imagine having the author as your tutor would be an amazing opportunity.
Thank you for your suggestions.

Jeff Adachi teaches BarBri's Essay Advantage for repeaters. The folks over at BarBri (including Mr. Adachi) recommend that I do not take Essay Advantage as a first-time taker, as it conflicts with the Paced Program schedule and can be a "major overload." I have worked through the Bar Breaker book, and I agree that it is great! But I'm looking for a one-on-one tutorial program that I can use to supplement the Bar Bri courses.

Do you recommend that I skip out on certain Paced Program days for Essay Advantage?

Has anyone participated in BarBri's Tutorial Program? This is what my BarBri rep suggests.

I appreciate any help. Thanks!
