Re: Is Tina Post a good tutor for the ca bar exam?

I took Tina Post's Essay Advantage class

I'm still waiting for July 2007 results so I can't say yet whether her method is successful, or whether it is worth the extra money to hire her as a tutor as opposed to taking the class (which I believe is much cheaper). Her personal style is very abrasive, however if you respond well to "boot camp" style motivation then it could work for you. Her approach is to: 1) memorize basic rule statements for bread and butter rules of law that are usually tested. 2) teach how to write real analysis as opposed to just repeating the facts from the question. 3) include exceptions, policy statements or nuances to add depth to your rule statements, with the aim of getting you out of the "re-read" pile.

Again, I have not found out whether I passed and I'm a first-time taker, but I'll say going into the exam I felt comfortable and prepared writing the essays.
