I am really starting to panic. I am due to sit the NY Bar Feb 09. I have 07 books Barbri and PMBR. I have done some reading and am planning to crack into it and do practice questions from Monday. Does anyone think that it is still possilbe for me to accomplish the impossible before Feb. How are others doing in terms of thier scedule. I dont work but I have 2 young children.
Plan to put in a good solid 8 weeks. So, starting after Thanksgiving is putting in more than enough time.
The best advice is to study effectively - it's not about the amount of time, but what you get out of that time. Make sure, when doing MBE, you learn something from each wrong questions. And when doing essays, actually practice writing tem out. My students hate me during bar review becuase i do not let them get away with just outlining, but they ALL thank me on the day of the bar when writing becomes second nature, and then again when they find out they passed.
I would also suggest taking Emanuel Bar Review as a refresher for the MBE.
