Hi Zainab,
Its my first time as well. Since I have enough time for the official bar exam courses, they start in december 22nd. I am now reading my NY Bar review book which contains all the general laws and regulations Id rather know better now. I outline what interests me most and memorize whatever fits my mind at this moment. Please do not panic. Just try to familiarize your conscience with all the material you have, legal vocabulary, basics... When your classes start and the time starts running out, you will have a tense schedulle requiring all the reading etc.. I will hope that our brains will absorb everything accordingly. A lot of people say that if you study intensive for this given time frame, you will do fine. Will see. I wish you luck.
What a lot of people mentioned here is do not panic, organize your daily routine, do a lot of practice and believe in yourself, be confident !!!!

You are very welcome Zainab,
Look what I came across while looking for some legal terms. I have decided to take an i-pod self study course and already taking notes an outlining lectures. This site is helping me to find good profound answers when I look for the specific explanation while studying my materials:
www.answers.com
not only it gives you synonyms and explains the whole word structure, but it also presents solid briefing on legal terminology that you might find very helpful. I spend a decent time on this site now to be honest.
good luck

I wish You the best of luck.
do i also have to take the MPRE exam? is this obligatory?
-
Yes Laila, anyone who intends to take Bar Examinations must take MPRE, the score for which is different for different jurisdictions. I do not think I did very well today in MPRE, I will have to retake it in March again. you can check www.ncbex.org/multistate-tests/mpre/ to give to a overview of exam, my advise to you would be practise lots of practise questions, the way you learn from practising the questions is different and easy then memorising the rules. if you have any questions let me know.
Do you have problem contentrating on questions for MBE? I mean do you read it twice sometimes? I really am having trouble on concentrating on the questions. The same happened with me today with MPRE.
Also the thing is that I am studying after a gap of 8 years may be because of that I am having a hard time to concentrate.

Thank you Zainab. I guess I will take mine in March
I do have troubles memorizing, sometimes understanding barbri material since my gap is 10 years. i was a licensed attorney in russia, so language barrier persists. I am reading NY bar review now, i make sure i type most of the material. getting myself engaged with legal terms and outlining also helps to memorize a lot. So, i havent started practice question book yet. it will be blank if i do, i have to challenge myself in reading the rules first. not sure if my strategy is right.
i just have this little fear i wont have enough time to read it all before the exam.
we will soon rejoice our remarkable scores ;)
