I took the july MD bar exam and failed unfortunately. ahhhhhhhhhhhh...
I received the result by mail today. (In MD, board of bar examiners sends and show the grade or points of each essay questions and MBE sections)
I got a 133 on MBE, which is not great, but a lot better than essay section.
However, my essay part is terrible. I need to improve essay portion of the bar exam. Do you have any advice?
Also, advice for MBE section would be appreciated.
I took and passed MD in 2008 and faithfully followed the advice in Mary Campbell Gallagher's book about bar essays. I know it made me feel more confident going into the exam, although I had a really high mbe score, so I can't promise you my essay score was great. But you should check her book out. Just google her name. I bought the book on Amazon. I think it is called "Scoring High on Bar Essays" or something like that. Good Luck! I'm taking the NY essay day this February and plan on using the same technique.
