when choosing a bar review program consider the following: 1. who is teaching the classes? It is a one shop stop or is there a lot of staff support? Is there a website, a 1-800-number, is there a place for you to get all the information you need upfront? 2. are you a repeat taker or a first time taker? 3. who owns the business? is the person a lawyer? is the person licensed to practice in the state you are seeking bar reveiw? good luck! |

I went to their Workshop and I liked what I heard. I will take the February CA bar and I have yet to decide which course to take. I liked Bar none outlines and the professor, however I have not been able to find any other people that took the course and get some feedback. I am still undecided!

This company is a fraud. Do not purchase this bar review course from lisa duncanson. You are beter off puchasing materials from your local law bookstore. I cannot describe the level of fraud that is practiced within this organization.... |

I spoke with Ms. Duncanson today and she did not sound like a fraud. As I am considering taking her course, I would like to get some more background information which you are basing your assertion on. Thanks. |

I would agree with everything negative posted about this company, program, and instructor. I failed the bar the first time I took it (yes, i did take bar bri). My parents said they would help pay for another study course and found Bar None Review. Spoke with Lisa and she had a lot to say that sounded good. Signed a contract for about 4,000 dollars and got basically nothing in return. I am not kidding. We agreed to do a distance program (since I live in N.Cal.) wherein I would fax/email her my writing and she would analyze it. She was also to provide me study materials like outlines and have a weekly phone call to go over things. About a week later I got a box of bound papers. All they contained were old tests and answers that I could have printed myself from the cal bar website. At this point, I was feeling really cheated. I called to complain and was told there would be no price adjustment, a contract had been signed after all. She then got quite nasty and said I was just a bitter law student and many people who fail the bar feel bitter and want to blame others. I felt taken of my time and money. The next time I studied for the bar I just used my old bar bri substantive outlines and Pmbr for the mbe. Studied intensely, did over 2000 mbe questions, and reviewed the answers, and passed! No thanks to Lisa Duncanson or Bar None Review. If you do an attorney search on the cal bar website, she isn't even listed. Is she even admitted in California? I believe she is a total fraud, as has been posted by others. Hope this helps! |

Before considering Bar None Review, thoroughly check the Better Business Bureau website for California. Don't search by zip code alone. There are 2 listings for Bar None Review, both in Southern California, I believe. One rating is a b-, but the other is an F! The F is accurate. I also found a story virtually identical to mine in dealing with Lisa Duncanson and her company just by doing a google search for Bar None Review. I got a link to rip off report.com. This person tells of prep for the baby bar, but my experience with her real bar exam study course was virtually identical and just as horrific. |
