Purchase battle-tested outlines for the bar exam written and used successfully by a 1999 graduate of Yale Law School. They cover all of the multi-state topics -- needed for the bar exam of every state in the country -- and the California topics too. Why spend hundreds, even thousands of dollars on huge tomes that cover too much and confuse you further? You can get them in digital form on CD at a cheaper price, or on paper.

These outlines have been updated for 2004 (we're still in the process of updating them for 2007, but it'll take a couple months.)

My name's Eric, and I took and passed the California bar exam in July 2001. I used to work at a top corporate law firm in San Francisco; now I'm back in school, getting an engineering degree to ultimately become a patent attorney. (It seems I can never get enough of school!) I used to be all sorts of things -- an English teacher in Korea, a public policy researcher in Germany, a student at Stanford and Yale Law School, a web developer, an Internet startup entrepreneur. I've always liked computers and online communities, so this is one of those rare moments where I get to mix that interest with my current profession.
