Is it really the best program you can get for bar review?

    I think barperfect is better

I used barperfect and passed w/ Steve. I thought he was really helpful and was honest. I really appreciated that because I had been a repeat offender! If you have any specific questions - let me know!

    not really
it depends on the value you get. for how expensive it is, i don't think it's worth it.

Barbri is bad bad terrible terrible

The BarBri set up is worse than I could have imagined. 118 people in a room w/ 124 seats. We are shoulder to shoulder, it's hot, there were two 10 minute breaks in four hours, the video ran over and the parking attendant was pulling a U to ticket me just as I came out of the building. This is going to be interminable. The close quarters make me irritable and even more introverted, ie unfriendly, than usual.

review materials pretty good, but feedback pretty useless

I took BarBri self-study/iPod course for California bar exam and, while on some days the schedule had fewer assignments than on others, I haven't noticed any particular pattern. If anything, there was less work assigned in the last two weeks because there were no more lectures. Each day, in addition to lectures and corresponding sections of the CMR, there were assigned 1-2 subjects to review, 3o to 70 multiple choice questions, 2 to 4 essays to outline and/or simulate, and 4 PTs (including simulated exam). A few days were unusually "light," containing no MC questions or essays, etc. CMR and MC questions volumes were good & helpful but I found the BarBri answers and feedback on written portions useless, if not harmful. I don't recall the details of the full "live video" course (which I took two years ago for NY) but I think it was similar.

In overall, I'd say that BarBri courses emphasizes more substantive material + its understanding in the first half of the course and practice + memoralization in the second half.
