I am deciding which to purchase and need some objective input so if you have read and reviewed Mendez Evidence (CA/Fed) and/or Miller's Evidence (CA/Fed) or any other for that subject - I would kindly appreciate input. Thank You.

For what purpose are you getting these books? The Bar Exam?
I was thinking about it as I do not have the Ca/Fed Evidence distinctions. If you can recommend a better source of material that can help with this, please share. Here is a description of what the Miller Evidence book offers: Federal & California Evidence Rules facilitates close study and exacting comparisons of the Federal Rules of Evidence and the California Evidence Code. It is an ideal tool to prepare for the California Bar Examination, which now tests both Federal and California evidence law.
Three distinct sections assist in analyzing and solving evidentiary problems:
Part I displays the Federal Rules of Evidence and comparable sections of the California Evidence code side-by-side for easy comparison
Part II covers the Federal Rules of Evidence, including the text of the rules, amendments, legislative history, and case notes of leading decisions
Part II focuses on the California Evidence Code, including the full text with amendments, legislative history, and notes of important judicial interpretations
btw, that info came from aspen publishing website :)
As a bar exam tutor, I am of the opinion that you are much better off using the Bar/Bri convisor Federal and CA Evidence outlines to make your own mini Evidence outline with CA distinctions highlighted next to each regular doctrine within Evidence law. In my opinion, a book like that is better suited to law school courses in Evidence. You simply do not have the time to devote to one subject in such an extensive manner. There are 18 subjects on the CA bar exam.
Ok thank you very much for your input.
