Thread: Feb 08 Bar

  1.   Feb 08 Bar #1
If you are preparing for the Feb Bar, I have a few suggestions:

*now is the time to "buckle down" so to speak. This goes for anytime you take the bar, but really look at it as 2 months to invest in your future. It can be hard to devote that much time to such intensive studying, especially if you are working or have family obligations, but remember, in the long run it's not that much time, and it's less time than having to retake the bar again

*Find a study plan that works for you, do not go at it alone. Most first time takers go with large commercial prep courses, like BarBri, which work for many people. However, if you are taking the Bar Exam for a second time, you need to find something different - there was a reason you did not pass the first time, and it most likely was not your ability, but rather the WAY you were studying. Whichever state you are taking the bar in, there are most likely smaller prep courses, or one on one tutors, that can offer different methods of study.

*Look at the next two months as a marathon, not a sprint

*relax and hey, in most states, the weather is crap, an at least it's not summer!

Ha! Tell that to students here -- 80 degrees today in LA!-- sorry you are suffering the wrath of winter back east!-- i have decided that is my new logic for the low CA bar pass rates---- the weather is just to damn nice.
