Hi! I'm getting ready to start studying for the MPRE and Feb. Michigan Bar Exam. Any feedback on prep courses? I'm debating between Bar/Bri, Ameribar and PMBR. Thanks!!!

PMBR only covers MBE section of the exam, so people use it as the supplement to a state bar review such as Barbri.
On the other hand, Barbri is the most common bar review. It gives you a lot of information for you to sort out, and the graders are not the best, but it is the most standard one.
If you have enough money, I would take Barbri, supplement with commercial bar outlines made for bar exams (not law school). That way, you don't have to make your own outlines and can spend more time practicing.
Hi,
PMBR are doing State preps now also.
I took all three. I would recommend Bar/Bri and Ameribar. I took Bar/Bri for my first bar out of law school because everybody else did. It was definitely good. I have no complaints. I also used PMBR for that exam and didn't think it added much. I moved to Florida a few years later and didnt have time for classes so I took Ameribar. It was also good and much cheaper. I passed both exams my first attempt. If you need a structured schedule you should take Bar/Bri. If you have the ability to keep yourself on schedule you should take Ameribar.
PMBR is easing into the state bar prep arena.
They offer NY, NJ and FL (one of them is not until next year I think, but I can't recall which one).
For now, PMBR is not a full bar prep option in many states.
Any good word on Celebration bar review for FLA anyone?
I took barbri for MA and am taking ameribar for OR.
Barbri provides shortcuts for memorization and really organizes the information in a logical way.
i hope this course is sufficient to help me pass, but i am also using PMBR to review and my old barbri notes to help with memorization.
Thanks, actually I'm taking the July Bar so your feedback is helpful. So far, I've bought some used PMBR and BarBri books from last year and haven't decided if I should invest in something additional. Thanks!
Are you taking the Bar/Bri course? If not, why not? Take the Bar/Bri course and buy the PMBR red book. That's good enough.
Barbri is the Absolute BEST Full Bar Review hands down!!!! At one time PMBR dominated the MBE portion, but when they got sued by the National Conference of Bar Examiners in 2006 they lost 14.5 Million Dollars and were PERMANENTLY ENJOINED from ever taking another MBE exam. They screwed themselves. I had a friend who got $700 back from Barbri by using their "Tuition Assistance". She really needed the money too. Hope this helps.
