I have the table from NCBE.
124 real equates to scaled score of 141.4 which is the supposed magic number to have passed the NY Feb sitting.
California is the only state that publishes the MBE scaling chart.
The Feb 08 chart is currently shown at

For a 126 raw, you would have received a 142.2 scaled.
(Actually a 125 raw gets you the 141.4, not a 124 raw)
Are you saying your score gets bumped up based on a certain number of mean?
