Thread: online or self-study bar prep courses

  1.   online or self-study bar prep courses #1
    Hello all,

I am taking July 08 CA bar (a first-timer taker) and looking for a good online or self-study course to take.
Here is the list of courses I have found so far:
    MBE: Adaptibar, MyBarPrep, Primer, PMBR
Essays & PT: BarNoneReview, Barperfect, Fleming's, LECC, BARBRI

Any tips as to which one is better than the others would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Answer from a really smart new attorney sitting next to me right now :)
this is such a hard question because usually you only take one class. I can't tell you which one is the "best" but I can tell you what I have used is good or not :)

I am using Adaptibar, and it is really good. It throws a bunch of questions at your level for you, then it gives you really cool analysis. The questions get harder as it goes, and it really helps. I find it somewhat addictive, too because it's like a game that you just want to be advanced to the next level.

I also bought used Barbri essays for practice b/c I couldn't afford the full course and the essay book is really helpful. I outline the essays, then grade myself with the model answers.
    Hope it helps.

MyBarprep is the best course I have used.
