Thread: PMBR Books....do editions matter?

  1.   PMBR Books....do editions matter? #1
    Hello,
I am taking Bar/Bri but would like to supplement my study by purchasing PMBR books (b/c I can't afford the class).
I was told the books are the best part anyway, for their sample MBE questions.

Anyways, I found a really affordable new copy of the 2006 edition work books... does it matter that its the '06 edition and not '09? I figure the questions would be the same and the law as well.

    Please provide your insight.

Also for those that took or are taking PMBR...what books were the most useful? Was it only the Vol I and II workbooks that were helpful?

    Thanks.

You should be able to find more recent PMBR books on EBAY for CHEAP. While I not sure if the editions matter, I can tell you that I purchased books in 2008 but was unable (due to family matters) to sit for the July exam. For some reason they (PMBR) sent me new books (once I told them the problem) and the books were exactly the same. Hence, I would argue that it doesn't matter.

I've heard that Evidence has changed since 2003, so I would probably get at least a 2006 edition.

Im using 2003 PMBR materials for July 2009- can I confirm if it is just evidence that has changed? I gather I will come across discrepancies as I revise my Pieper outlines but it will be useful to know what other subjects (if any) to look out for.

I have simply heard that Evidence has changed, but I could be wrong. You may want to ask the publishers or another source for that information. But if I were you, I would at lease use 2006 or later just to be safe.
