Hi! I went to Walmart for the bar exam shopping and found that there is no analog clock without alarm function. I found one that you can switch on/off the alarm function. Will this be allowed in the bar exam?

nope, you can only bring analog clock in there
In CA, no digital timers allowed. They will make you put it in a box. Only analog watches or timers. Check the Calbar website or the information sheet when you get your admittance slip. No digital watches allowed. And they check.
On the NY bar exam site, it says
NO Electronic Devices – including but not limited to Cell Phones, PDA’s. wireless e-mail devices, pagers, calculators, clocks, cameras, radios, recording devices, hand-held computers, programmable watches, etc.

nope, no electronic devices allowed
Digital clocks are NOT allowed, nor are digital watches or anything else electronic. The only clocks allowed are small -- less than 4x4 inches I believe -- clocks with hands or watches with hands. You can buy them at Sav-On, or whatever it's called now, for about $10 (don't forget to buy the batteries too). BTW, the person we have to thank for this policy is the student who reportedly managed to figure out a way to load all of his outlines onto a digital databank watch, linked it to his laptop, and was caught during the exam cutting and pasting from his outlines. While this could be a bar urban legend, it is certainly within the realm of possibility.
