NY application is requiring me to fill out my addresses from the past like 2 billion years. I don't really remember where I have lived, at least not the house number or the dorm number. The bottom line is, do they care? are they going to turn me down if they found out that there was this one address missing?

As long as you put down all the addresses there are paper trail of. for example, check with your credit card company, insurance company, and other record that may have your exact addresses. If it's address you didn't record anywhere and thus can't find the exact house number, then guess what, they are not going to know anyway! If it's an important address for whatever reason (like you have lived there for over 3 years and you just can't remember the house number) maybe you can find it out from the school/institution you attended at the time?

After all, NY bar examiners want to know about your character, not your house number, so as long as you filled the application out with good faith, not wanting to hide anything from them (like don't omit an address of the apartment you have been kicked out of b/c you were caught dealing drug in there - try to find this address from the police station if you have to)

Put down the name of the dorm if that's all you can remember if it was just a dorm...no drama involved.
