I would like to form a study group in London for the ny bar exam or I would like to join a pre-existing one so we can all help each other and prepare together. If you are interested in forming one or have any other information please let me know.

Hi mate,
great idea. I am doing the exam in feb. 09, so I dont know if that would be helpful for you?
Hiya thats a great idea, I wish there was a study group when I started studying last year. I'm taking the exam in 3 weeks (Feb 09). How have are you finding the materials?? I am doing self study and I can assure you it has been a task and a half...
hi there...
I got back to the UK just a couple of days ago and I am planning to sit for the July 09 NY Bar. The idea of this group is awesome...let's arrange something. Are you also planning to attend a review course?
Hi
Thank you for all your replies
Yes, I'm definitely up for this study group...the only thing is that I am just getting started with revision and have just been reading through past papers and am in the process of getting second-hand books and notes from craigslist. As I'm in the preliminary stages, I don't know how helpful this will be for those of you who are taking it this Feb?
So far I have just been researching what the best courses are and trying to get their notes and the recommended books...its such a mission!!
Also, I am probably not taking a course at all as its too expensive and I am planning to study independently..yikes.... I went to the open day for the Pieper Bar review at BPP last week...
Email me on hippie.cher@yahoo.co.uk and we can discuss this group further
Hi all,
Good luck for the bar exam either in Feb/July. I am sitting it next week and am REALLY nervous. I have never undertaken so much work before! The sheer volume is the problem. I am only giving it one go though so i am desparate to pass. For those doing the July exam my advice would be start early and do loads of multiple choice questions. In the beginning i thought it was purely about the knowledge; I am not saying that the knowledge is not important (because you will not be able to answer an essay question without knowing most definitions verbatim) but I think the key is the technique for the MBE. Hope to hear from you all soon xx
I am very keen to participate in the study group. It would be very useful if we could kick start this as soon as possible.
It might be useful to contact each other (in the first instance via email) in order to determine which stage we are at in our revision. For example, I have already covered Constitutional Law, Property, and Criminal Law.
