Thread: Took Feb - should I start studying now for July just in case?

I just took the February California exam. I have no idea if I passed or not. I'm hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. I'm thinking about starting to do MBEs and to review outlines just for about an hour a day so that I don't have to relearn everything if I do flunk. Is that rediculous? For those who failed a Feb exam and then retook in July, did you have enough time to study? Also, if I do have to take it again, I wouldn't be able to take time off from work like I did in Dec-Feb. Any helpful advice appreciated.

If you won't be able to take time off from work, then I would definitely start studying again. I would start with reviewing MBE subjects and doing MBE questions, that should be good enough until you find out the results.

I also took the February bar. My writing style was a mess specially the first PT. My MBE seems to be short too. I started my preparation in November but I was barely able to cover substantive law with no review. If you have the chance to study then take all of that opportunity. As for me I'll try starting up but I'm not even very sure if I have the financial and time capability to retake the test in July. Looking back at all the wasted studying opportunity I can almost cry. While there's no guarantee I could pass it could have surely improved my performance. Can't go back. So now if I have time I'll make the most of it.

Well, if you expect the worst, that is what you will get. You better adjust your thinking; you are attracting failure. Just my two cents.
