I'm currently a public policy major at a community college and I am transferring after this semester to a bigger school as a political science major. I'm not doing the best in that department either. English is my "powerhouse" subject; can I major in that, get better grades, and use that major towards law school since it's all based on GPA and LSAT scores or do I have to do a specific major for law school??

    Category: LSAT

Yes!! English is a great major for law school! You do not need to major in political science to get into law school. Focus on LSAT and GPA and you will be just fine.

Out of curiosity tho, what part of political science was hard for you? The reason I ask is that if analyzing policy is the tough part for you, then you may want to reconsider going to law school.

it's not the policy or govt classes i have trouble in, its the other classes in my major like statistics, and the biggie was accounting. all my other classes are cake. its just that i suffer in any kind of subject that deal with some kind of math. i can do them with time but i know i won't fully understand it. now i know the LSATs are pretty time consuming but i can actually understand stuff like that. anything with lots of writing and reading im not worried about. so thats why i think english will be perfect for me.
