The Arizona Bar Exam is a two-day exam -- Tuesday and Wednesday -- Beginning with the July 2011 bar examination, the Arizona bar examination will consist of six essay questions and two Multistate Performance Test (MPT) questions administered on Tuesday, and the Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) administered on Wednesday. Essays will include up to six Multistate Essay Examination (MEE) questions but could also include Arizona law questions.
First Day (Tuesday) morning session:
* Three Hours
* Six 30-minute Arizona/MEE Essay Questions
First Day (Tuesday) afternoon session:
* Three Hours
* Two 90-minute MPT Questions
Second Day (Wednesday) morning session:
* Three hours
* Multistate Bar Examination (MBE)
* 100 multiple-choice questions
Second Day (Wednesday) afternoon session:
* Three hours
* Multistate Bar Examination (MBE)
* 100 multiple-choice questions
Grading:
Scores from the February exam are released in May. Scores from the July exam are released in October. Scores will not be released over the phone, by email or by fax. The names of successful applicants will be posted to the Attorney Admissions and Supreme Court website on the date of public release, the same day results letters are mailed.
On the Arizona Bar Exam, out of a possible 600 points, a total of 410 points are required to pass.
In Arizona, the minimum passing score for MPRE is 85.
Every applicant must take the entire examination (MBE and written portion) in Arizona. The only exception is allowed for concurrent testing in multiple jurisdictions, and applicants must receive notify our office in writing prior to testing concurrently in another jurisdiction.
