Barbri's mpre lectures are ... videos???

I heard that barbri's lectures are now videos instead of real professors.. is that real??? From what I have heard, the professors aren't really necessary b/c they just read what's in the handouts anyway, but videos? really? Can someone verify that?

If you sign up for Barbri's full course, then MPRE is free. I guess that's how they rip us off. Lock us down but take our live lectures away!

It may depend on where you are located. In MN, the MPRE lectures by BarBri have been via DVD for at least the last five years.
Really, since the lecture isn't a Q&A session, does it matter that it is on video instead of live?

I guess if you are one of those folks that needs to go ask a question during one of the two or three breaks in a live lecture...

I think it doesn't matter if it's on video or live at all, but I just think it's a waste of time to tell us to drive there instead of making it available online like baroutlines.com so that we can save those time to study. I also think it's ridiculous that they are charging the amount they are charging and just give us lectures on DVD.

But yes, I do think those lectures are completely BETTER when they are not live and pre-recorded.. especially if I can listen to them/watch them at home.

Yes, it is true. Very few sessions are actually live.

One more vote for it. This course that is at least 3 times as expensive as other online courses is a video course.

They make you drive over there and play you a DVD.. that you can't even keep.. .

I was so mad

This is true. And like someone said, there is no question and answer, so it doesn't really matter.

However, in a few states (CA and NY) Aspen publishers is starting a new review course, http://www.emanuelbarprep.com/, that is not videotaped and DOES allow for questions.
