baroutlines.com for CA

Hi I am taking the Feb. 08 CA bar and am wondering if any has used or is using the material from BarOutlines.com? Specifically, how are they for covering the new material? I am currently using BarBri books for Summer 06 and Winter 07 and need something to supplement these. Any suggestions greatly welcome.

Thanks!

Re: baroutlines.com for CA

If you mean regarding the new additions (CA evidence, Biz. Assoc., and CA Civ Pro) then check out the scope of the additions (http://www.calbar.ca.gov/calbar/pdfs...peoutlines.pdf) and then ask a friend who has the newer versions of the BarBri (or other) materials to look over theirs and just take what you need. If you had Biz Assoc. in law school, those notes will likely be enough for that.

Do not spend inordinate amounts of time on these new testing areas-- it will be a time suck and you will regret it when you realize post-exam how few points on the essays were attributed to those few additions.

CABarTutor:

I do mean the new CA additions you've listed ... unfortunately, I don't know anyone with newer materials (I also graduated in 06) and I didn't take business associations in law school (wasn't in CA, anyway) either, which is why I'm looking at the BarOutlines.com material.

Incidentally, I'm presuming that their information (for all topics, not just the new ones) will be more up-to-date than my 06F-07W BarBri material.

Re: baroutlines.com for CA

well it comes down to you deciding to spend the money. Just be aware of the fact that these new areas do not hold a big chunk of points for you to grab. If you have time, then good, but be careful spending too much time on this. The issue outlines i included before are from the State Bar site and give guidance on where to focus. Biz. Assoc. is mostly about common law principles such as agency, corp. duties, peircing the corp. veil, partnerships, etc.

best of luck,

cbt
