I was surprised to find out that they have about a 3 percent passage rate. So if you're feeling bad about not passing, just be happy you're not in Japan. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_education#Japan When I lived in Japan before law school, there was a mini-series where one of the characters had taken it every year for 10 years. He worked in construction to pay the bills. Here's another great article on their system. haha, that's true, but that's why Japanese can easily get a in-house attorney job without passing the bar, too.
