HI, i am a lawyer from the philippines and had my practice for four (4) years.I have effectively relocated here in US. I am intending to take the NY Bar exam.Is there anyone who could help me on this issue; if i would be eligible to take the NY bar without going to law school again, considering that philippine legal system is hybrid system (mixed of civil law and common law system).

If i would not be eligilble because of the legal system, what law school is the nearest in North Carolina, which offers a "program of study" in order for me to be able to sit in NY Bar.

Basically, not every school from Philippine is eligible, and you will just have to apply to NY bar examiner to find out your eligibility.

ABA has been working with Philippine on the compatibility of our legal system, so it should be a simple process.
