PMBR not good

I took PMBR early study course but I think it wasn't good. The good thing about PMBR are their books with questions. I did 1600 questions and read explanations to every question. I tried different methods: going with the first choice, analyzing answers, elimination. I noticed that first choice and elimination worked best for me. PMBR questions were more difficult than the questions on exam.

Also when I was reviewing law shortly before exam, I chose to do it by doing question rather than reading review books.

Emanuel, Hugh Reed, and Adaptibar

1st: Strategies and Tactics book by Walton/Emanuel - the cheaper way.

2ndly but not too expensive: Hugh Reed's Pass Your Bar. My MBE score rose quite a bit with his
lectures and material. He has great tips. But he doesn't do much for the writing part, so I am retaking the test.

3rd, Adaptibar: You can find them online, I used them and I really liked the program. I also liked Micromash. Use both. Adaptibar has about 1200 questions from there you can also use Micromash.

A word of suggestion and I am speaking from experience, do not forget to keep writing essays. Balance out both as each exam is different. Work the entire exam during this time. Do PT's, essays and your mbe's and not let one go for the sake of the other.

from someone who has also passed the bar

Quote:
I am a huge fan of adaptibar. I did not do PMBR, although I did have
old books from a friend and did maybe 500 practice questions. I mainly
used Adaptibar, which is an online MBE program. It was easy, contains
EVERY released MBE question by the bar, and is cheap.

I also used Fleming's PT method. He offers a 4 day course, and provides
volumes of past bar PTs and sample passing answers and/or model answers
for them. I honestly believe that the PTs are the biggest downfall for
people taking the bar. People are afraid of them, and/or don't practice
them enough (in comparison to how much time is spent preparing for
essays). One PT is worth two essays (in terms of grading) so you can
make up for a bad essay with a solid PT of 70 or higher.
Good Luck!

Hi Sweetlg,

I think i just answered another post of yours re the PT--- are you someone who already passed or were you just quoting someone else? You have confused me a bit between the two posts...
