| Improve your Chances of Passing the Bar Exam – Without Increasing your Study Time!
Thanks for this Ron!! Quote:
Are you sick of feeling like a bar exam failure? Would you like to know how to increase your chances of passing without studying even one extra minute? You can do this if you improve your concentration ability.
Concentration is one of the most vital skills to possess if you want to pass the bar exam. You need to concentrate on studying, to learn everything. And on the test days, you need to concentrate on the test, to make sure you do everything required in order to pass it.
Here's something interesting about concentration -- it's easier to concentrate on negative things, then on positive ones. One of the greatest skills you can leverage for studying is to learn how to concentrate on positive outcomes, not negative ones.
For example, if you find yourself concentrating on how successful your study time is going to be, and exactly what you will do in order to achieve that success, you'll find your study habits start to improve instantly. However, most people concentrate their efforts on thinking of how dull and tedious studying is, and guess what? There brain figures out a way to make it dull and tedious!
Concentration is more important than intelligence. How many times have you heard about a dullard with intense concentration do far better than a naturally intelligent individual lacking good concentration skills?
Learning the art of concentration is tricky, given the nature of our thinking. Within every individual there are two forces at work -- one that motivates us to go after what we want, and another telling us to be careful, to be cautious, and to hold back.
To learn how to concentrate most effectively, you need to make concentration a habit. Breaking old habits and replacing them with new habits is not something you can do with the snap of a finger. This means you need to develop deliberate strategies in order to force your mind to concentrate at will. The fact of the matter is that you can improve any of your skills, no matter where you currently are, or what you are currently lacking. By thinking like this, you can improve your concentration ability, to enhance your studying and chances of passing the bar exam.
A lot of people end up failing the bar exam, because there concentration breaks when it comes time to take the test. They haven't properly prepared their mind for crunch time. Because of this, their mind has acted out of its habit of becoming overwhelmed, or distracted. This doesn't happen by a freak accident, but out of how the mind is trained to respond. Make deliberate effort to train your mind to respond positively under pressure. Focus on the good qualities pressure brings out in leaders, and then think about how you can cultivate those qualities as well.
Finally, your motives play a big part on how well or how little you can concentrate. Traditionally, external factors do less for your concentration than internal factors. This means, in addition to focusing on the things you can get by passing the bar exam, focus on the internal feelings of accomplishment, achievement and other high quality characteristics. Use both external and internal success indicators to help you motivate yourself to concentrate better on studying for the bar exam. If you do this, there’s a very very good chance that you’ll be ecstatically happy when bar results come out.
