Re: Just passed the NY bar.. taking questions.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I will take the Bar in Feb2008. How did you study for the NY multiple choice questions and for the essay part of the exam?

Thanks

Re: Just passed the NY bar.. taking questions.

congrats!!! Thank you for offering by the way. My question is do you think Barbri MBE questions or PMBR questions closer to the real MBE questions? Why and How?

Thank you very much

Re: Just passed the NY bar.. taking questions.

I did both barbri and PMBR. I focused on PMBR before the barbri course started. Then I did the barbri plan full. I got a 160 on the MBE.. so apparently that worked. I did all the questions in the Red PMBR book. That in addition to the barbri work was sufficient.

As for the NY… don’t kill yourself; there are too many things they can ask. Just do all the questions that barbri gives you and move on.

Re: Just passed the NY bar.. taking questions.

As for the essay portion.. that was the hardest part because I went to national law school. I did every essay that they assigned. However, I did not write each one out in full, I did an outline for about 60 % of them. I also signed up for that essay workshop. I went to the first one, out of three, and got enough information to get by. If you are getting above avg on the Barbri graded essays.. you should be ok on the real thing.

I've already passed MA, so I am going to take NY in February 2008. I wanted to know if there was a private tutor that I could consider. I will PM you. Thanks!

Not that I know of. I did not use one ... and if you feel you are a good writer, you may not have to either.

It’s more for the sake of having someone to give me study strategy tips. I know all I have to do is practice for the MBE!
