Liz Mendoian vs. Phil Lupton and Bargraders

I am comparing these 2 tutors for the Ca bar exam Did his/her course help or were there areas that you felt the technique did not help you? Also live classes or video/home study that you took? I am considering taking bargraders. Any recommendation?

Re: Liz Mendoian vs. Phil Lupton and Bargraders

highly recommend phil lupton and bargraders
My opinion for you if you have law down essentially is to either get into a writing course to get your writing reviewed or do it self-study with the materials you have and use bargraders or Phil Lupton through Ebay to help with critiquing your writing. Alternatively if you improved with Vivian Dempsey, I would approach her and see if you can get a repeater rate from her or if you can use her for critiquing. If you get a method you feel remotely good with, keep with it and simply keep using it and improve on it. If I had just stuck with an approach earlier, even if I wasn't totally comfortable with it, I probably would have improved enough to pass.

Also make sure you acknowledge and deal with the mental aspects to this game. The repeater has a challenge not just with the competition out there but with themselves. Deal with the stress. It's there. Self-doubt can really take its toll. Although the calendar indicates there is plenty of time to study, time passes. Make sure you establish certain time slots for the next few months to slowly and steadily study.

Good luck from a fellow repeater. Anyone know how many times a repeater has to take the exam before passing, on the average. Take out the 40th timers. 3 times, 6 times, how many is the median/average? I have been told that "most" repeaters "eventually" pass – just wondering how many times that is...

Liz Mendoin is good, never heard of Phil Lupton

She is apparently good, but charges around $3,000 (which I think you can pay in 2 amounts). She is in Pasadena, but I believe she holds a class in the Bev Hills area.
