Thank you in advance for your help and your time!! really!!! this site rocks!!! Anyway, I am now signing up for the Feb 2008 bar exam, and I was wondering if you think I should do the Secureexam or not. I have heard great things about using computer on bar exam, but then I heard that bar graders lost over 400 essays and people have to take the exam again??? Can someone verify that story for me? What you think?

It's really impossible to take notes by hand. With your laptop, you can take notes and do assignments easily. You can evan record classes if you want to.

You should probably get a light one if you are going to bring it around with you.

If you are low on budget, just get a light and small one you can take notes with. You don't need any fancy software in it.

If you wanna go all out, shop around and find one you like.. any lap top can take notes :)
