![]() | Re: PLI or Ameribar or Practicing Law Institute PLI is a total waste of time and money I made the big mistake of buying the preparation package and I just had to throw it out, it was a mistake worth around $1,000; the lectures are old and the lecturers' advices are contradictory; I bought Celebration and I did very well at the NY Bar exam. The Study Group which is almost the same as Celebration has a very comprehensive and affordable course for California. I checked the PLI free program to prepare for the MPRE and it is bogus. I studied the BarBri MPRE Book and I barely got 86 which was very tight. This last exam was very difficult compared to the one I took for NY years ago, by then I got over 100, I remember the exam was very easy; it seems to me that the examiners want the exam to be more and more difficult all the time.
