PMBR theory - only MBE matters is wrong right???

Pmbr has a theory that not all essays are actually graded and they look at your MBE score to determine if you are automatically in or out and the rest are read.

I totally don't buy this theory but wanted to confirm that this theory is not true, right???

I am sure this theory is wrong, why else would people allow MBE to be transferred and only have to take the essay portion??? I think the reason many people have low MBE failed the bar is simply b/c if you are not prepared, you are not prepared across the board! Of course good MBE helps, but that doesn't mean essay portion doesn't matter.

not really a true theory. I've seen people with high MBE scores fail, because they don't do well on the essay portion.

The thing is, it's a balancing act. The better you do on one portion, the less you have to do on another. However, it's very difficult to get a score so high on the MBE that your essays do not count at all.

I have many students that want to focus on just ONE portion of the exam, and this really is not a good idea. It's important to balance -and focus equally on the MBE and state specific portions, and then you will be well prepared in both.

Good Luck!

I agree with this. I definitely think both portions matter.
