I have read about taking the bar in California without going to law school. I have studied law for three years and am located in Georgia. I would like the opputunity to study under an attorney to help me pass the bar. I thought that Louisiana was another state that you could study under an attorney or Judge. I was not aware of New York, Virginia, Washington, and some of the other states. Can anyone help me to begin to study under a lawyer. Please contact me at purcell_wendy@yahoo.com. Thank you.

I read an article about this a year or two ago....I can't recall where it was (might have been an ABA magazine or something).

The National Conference of Bar Examiners have a chart that tell you what states allow this (Page 10 of the Comprehensive Guide to Bar Admission at www.ncbex.org ).
