![]() | What You Need to Know About the 2009 Wyoming Bar Exam The Wyoming Bar Exam is a two-day exam -- Wednesday and Thursday -- with the multiple-choice Multistate Bar Exam on Wednesday and short questions on Thursday. First Day (Wednesday) moring session: * Three hours * Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) * 100 Multiple-Choice questions. First Day (Wednesday) afternoon session: * Three hours * Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) * 100 Multiple-Choice questions. Second Day (Thursday) morning session: * Four hours * Ten Questions (Answer 10 of the 11 offered) Wyoming allows you to transfer an MBE scaled score of 133 or higher received within three years of the bar exam. Grading of the Wyoming Bar Exam: You must score at least 130 (scaled) on the MBE. You need a 133 scaled score to preserve your score or to transfer a previous score. You need at least 70% overall on the essays, plus 70% on at least six of the essays, and 73 to preserve your essay score. Wyoming generally releases the results in about 8-10 weeks after the exam. *MPRE -- Wyoming requires a scaled score of 75 on the MPRE, taken within the prior three years. Admission on Motion: (i.e., without having to sit for the bar exam) 1. You must be a graduate of an ABA-accredited law school. 2. You must be admitted to the bar of another jurisdiction and must have practiced law for at least five of the prior seven years. 3. The other jurisdiction must have a similar policy by which Wyoming attorneys can be admitted without taking that jurisdiction's bar exam, including the MPRE.
