![]() | Who is a good tutor/Prep for the NY Bar Exam? Hello: I have taken and passed MA bar. Who-hoo! So now I'm going to conquer the February 2008 NY Bar exam. However, this time around I have to work. I will not be able to take the time to take a full barbri class again. I guess I don't think I need to, since overall, the barbri classes are the same except for the state distinctions they give. And since I've already taken barbri, I still have the materials. But I need the NY distinctions as well as they NY Multiple choice materials to practice with. What I'm looking for is either a good private tutor that I can meet with at various scheduled times or a good weekend workshop that will help give me strategies for the NY Essays and NY Multiple choice questions. I am definitely someone who can study well on my own, so the key for me is to get a few strategies to tackle the questions, and then practice, practice, practice. I don't have the time to sit through another bar prep class for like 6 weeks. I would rather spend that time practicing. If you know of any companies that offer this, please let me know. I have heard of Peiper (sp?). If anyone had success with them, please let me know! All information is highly welcome! Lastly, anyone sitting for Feb 08, please contact me if you'd like to keep in touch over email to exchange tips/strategies! Category: NY - New York Bar Exam |

![]() | Re: Who is a good tutor/Prep for the NY Bar Exam? If you just need to work on distinctions, I would suggest a private tutor. They can help you create a study schedule, as well as personally go over substantive materials. Also, practicing the MPT and getting a good score there can help you quite a bit. LawTutors has a New York based office, in the city, and also offers distance tutoring. We also have New York tutors in the Boston area. www.lawtutors.net Take Care and good luck! If you can pass Massachusetts, you can pass New York! |
